Who we are

The Happie Co OÜ (“The Happie Co”, “we”, “us”) is a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 17226889, with its registered office at Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. You can reach us at hello@thehappie.co.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with our websites, thehappie.co and wappie.thehappie.co. Most of our products are not yet available, and these sites are informational. Wappie is available as an invitation-only pilot; the personal data processed by the Wappie console and messaging client is described in the notice shown inside those applications.

What we collect

Our websites do not use advertising or analytics, and they do not ask you to create an account or fill in any forms. We do not track your activity. Your appearance and language preferences are stored only in your browser (localStorage); on wappie.thehappie.co they are also kept in two strictly necessary cookies, wappie_theme and wappie_locale, so that the same preferences follow you to the Wappie console and messaging client. Our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, requested page and time) for security and troubleshooting, and keeps them only for a short time. Beyond that, the only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us — for example, if you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use the information you send us solely to read and reply to you. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may rely on service providers (such as our email or hosting provider) who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions.

Keeping your data

We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a reasonable record, after which we delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, and you may object to our processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@thehappie.co. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).

Changes

We may update this policy as our products launch. We will revise the date above when we do.
